General Policies:

Every student and parent is expected to read and follow the rules of NGAD. NGAD reserves the right to dismiss any student whose attitude or conduct is unsatisfactory. Failure to comply with studio policies regarding tuition, attire, and recital may result in dismissal from the Academy. Dress codes are strictly enforced. We are located in a shopping center, so leotard and tights only while outside the building is not appropriate. A cover up of some type must be worn over dance wear going to and from the studio. Never wear dance shoes outside. Attendance is essential, not only for your child but for the other children in the class as well. If excessive absences occur, your child may be moved to a different level class. NO refunds or deductions will be granted for lessons not attended. Make-up classes are available. If an absence is unavoidable, please contact the studio prior to class time. All students that participate in the recital are required to attend all rehearsals during the week of recital.

School Closings:

NGAD is closed only for the following:

  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Break
  • Winter Break
  • Spring Break
  • Memorial Day
  • Please look for Facebook postings whenever the Gwinnett County Public School System is closed for inclement weather as we do not always close the studio. If traveling to the studio for classes would put you and your dancer in danger, please do not come and simply make up the missed class.

NGAD does not close for Teacher Workdays or any other school holiday, including the October Fall Break and February Winter Break; except the ones specified above.

Withdrawal Procedure

If withdrawal becomes necessary a Written Notice must be received in the office 30 days prior to the date of the withdrawal. Lack of a written notice causes your account to remain open, with you responsible for payment regardless of your child's attendance. Non attendance is not considered withdrawal from class. Failure to pay fees will result in the collections office being notified and possible legal action.
